Children in Our First Apartment

With limited funds, it was not possible to help children in any way but to rent an apartment. Our new home had a central room used for eating and studying, three bedrooms for boys, girls, and two live in mothers and a bathroom. We began by giving a new life to six boys and two girls ages 8 to 13.

Six months later we had enough support to help eight more children so we rented another nearby apartment. Although this gave the children a new life they had no safe place to play and the apartments were without sunshine and always seemed dark and damp. It wasn't but about a year later God spoke to a couple to give us money to build our own home.
