| After
a week in the home the children were already content and settled
as members of our family. They were |
 |
| neither
shy nor inhibited but entered into everything we did easily
and so happily. We were greeted with hugs and smiles and they
|
|
| immediately enjoyed learning a new song,
"I've got joy in my heart - I am so happy". Above Fu
Ying li is helping one of our new children with the words.

Starting in one home all
the children joined Jane and entered a second and taught them and
then both homes went upstairs and shared with the third and then
everyone went to the fourth home and we sang together. Little
Jin Ge (to the right) came up to Jane repeatedly throughout
the day with her copy of the Chinese words (which she couldn't read),
and wanted her to sing them to her. Then she happily went on her
way.

| We purchased a large number of wonderful
classical fiction stories for the children and gave them to Duan
Zi heng to stamp with our chop and to record on the checkout
list. Without any thought, Wei Jin ke
began to help by recording the data. We had also purchased lovely
decals for the children to put on their walls. The twins were so
excited at the 'drawing' of lots to decide who chose first, second
and so on. To the right below Zhen dong
