Mother's Day Wasn't Forgotten

Days before Mother's Day, we had gotten candy for each of our mothers and were having the children in each home prepare cards for them We arrived at the home and shortly thereafter were so surprised beyond belief when the four mothers on duty were heard giggling with excitement coming up the stairs. We went out into the hall and were shocked at a beautiful vase of flowers they too had gotten to remember Jane on Mother's Day.

It always seems this is a heavenly place where everyone is always so excited to remember one another at every chance. Our hearts are so warmed by our mothers. It seems that every time we try to do things for them and show our appreciation for their loving hard work, they are always one step ahead of us doing something for us. We are all fellow servants working together to serve with love. Have you ever noticed how contagious love is- we have an epidemic!

He Yan qing is a fine boy who recently got his focus on the wrong thing - something easily done for a young man who simply lives for basketball. He became a member of the school's basketball team and as a result all of his free time when he should have been studying, he was playing ball. In the photo you can see he and Dong dong have just finished a fun game. Alas! His school grades arrived and we could not believe how he had dropped. His Chinese was 61%, Math was 45% and English was 49 %. True he has always been just a fair student with grades generally in the 70th percentile but this was a big drop. The school promised to get him some tutoring but he of course had to drop out of the team and until his grades got much better, even at the home, he was forbidden to play when he should be studying. We really love and care about He Yan qing

as we do all our children and want him to have success in life now and a good future later.

Yang Zhen dong is a truly sweet, gentle but fun-loving young man. When Yang Zhen dong was three months old, an elderly lady picked him up at the side of the road and raised him. He had no Identification Card for a long time so he couldn't go to
school. After she got the ID for the child she put him in school immediately. His old grandma was extremely impoverished and had almost nothing in living supplies. Today he is a really superior student but even more wonderful is his loving, gentle character and behavior. Zhen dong is deeply loved by everyone in the home.

Team Work -Everyone is a Winner!

Have you ever played basketball and had one player think he was the whole team. He wouldn't pass the ball or guard another player's shot or rebound and pass the ball to someone with a better

chance to make a good shot. A really good team has players, each who has a different purpose and a different place on the court and together as each one does his part a really good team is formed and the results are great and everyone has a really fun time. Success is the outcome!

This is what SANCS is all about - we are team players and without everyone in his place putting his heart into his part we cannot succeed. I believe we have the most

wonderfully chosen team players anyone could ask for. We have the Great Foundation and Guide upon which it is built and Love flows freely. Living in a material world we must have financial support that many of you are so faithful at providing, then we need prayer support and moral support. Your prayers, letters and gifts are changing little lives - bringing them hope and learning to choose good over evil, right over wrong. Our housemothers are incredible;; they serve with their whole hearts and work together with unity, making each home clean and happy and the children knowing they are secure and loved. In the States we have the volunteers who serve on our Board and those responsible for our finances and folding and mailing the newsletters. The results of each of us doing that for which we have been called is happy, healthy, children that we can all recognize as very, very special. We need every single player on our team and serving together we can truly call ourselves "Blessed".
