FAMILY BACKGROUND:

When Gu Si yuan’s mother was thirty one years old she ran away with another man. Shortly thereafter her father in anger also ran away, leaving this little girl with only her grandpa since her grandmother died ten years previously. At our meeting he was in his early seventies and tried to do a little farming to make a living for them.

OTHER DATA:

Her grandfather was willing to let the little girl be adopted if it was going to be within an area where he can visit.

Gu Si yuan is a fun little girl with a lot of energy and laughter. Shortly after she came to us she immediately became a part of our family. Although she wasn't necessarily the most beautiful child, her personality transforms her into a precious jewel. She loves to talk and perform and will quickly sing for you if asked. She also likes to "dress up" pretty. She has brought a lot of fun and life into our home. She is so “grown-up” and has such common good sense about things for a little girl that she genuinely inspires us in our work. Her teacher told us that Gu Si yuan was very smart and hardworking in school and that her grades were excellent and that she had beautiful handwriting. Furthermore she was a good assistant for the teacher and a good role model for other students.
