One
uncle works in Zhengzhou and doesn't feel obligated to help the
little boy. The youngest uncle works in the coal mines and has his
own children and is quite poor. He seems to have a Christian family.
But since the grandmother had been taking care of the crippled man
and the little boy none of the uncles seemed to feel obligated to
help the little boy.
The
crippled uncle repaired shoes for 12 cents a day and he received
about 15 dollars a month from the government. He really couldn't
take care of the boy by himself. He came to the Xinmi government
since he heard there was an orphanage hoping he could find a better
place for his little nephew. This crippled uncle was killed a week
after we met him and the little boy.
