FAMILY BACKGROUND:

When she was about one year old her mother died of some disease; her father died about year 2000 grieving himself to death -Xiao hui was about 5 years old at that time.

Her grandma was 56 and her grandpa was 60 when she came to our home. They lived far out from any village in a deep valley where a cave had been dug out. The floor, walls and arched ceiling were all dirt. The place was wired up for one light but it was very dark but incredibly clean. They had a small garden and grew corn- some to sell and some to eat. Sometimes her grandmother was able to pick up bricks for a factory to try to make some income.

OTHER DATA:

Her diet was mostly corn soup twice a day and sometimes noodles.The neighbor gave her clothes to wear.
