As of the summer of 2009 she will enter the third year of middle school.

FAMILY BACKGROUND:

Han Xi yu was brought into Qing Shi he Village by her mother who came to live with a man who became the girl's guardian. According to him, she stayed a few months and left the baby - never to return. The mother's name was Yu Shan but we do not have the father's name.

The man with whom she lived is crippled from birth with no legs and uses a wheelchair. He was extremely filthy as was the yard and the house. The man is unmarried but has a brother who helps out. Everything was deplorably filthy. The neighbors say they often gave him money and when the occasion arises he can fix small appliances. He has no real income.

The little girl was so very dirty and looked like a very old person with dark empty eyes when she was in the countryside. She was very quiet before she came to our SANCS home.
